Help with Infuse 4G

I have an Infuse 4G from ATT. I now have an iPhone 5 but use the Infuse as a wifi device. All of a sudden my Infuse shut off. When I try to turn it on the Samsung logo appears and then the ATT logo, although the ATT logo keeps repeating until the phone dies. Ocassionaly, the phone will actually turn on but it will make me set it up again and it won't let me log into my google account and all of the apps force quit. Obviously I no lonfer have insurance or anything. I've tried everything. Holding the volume buttons and doing a clear cache, a factory reset. I read somewhere I could flash it to reinstall the software. I've never done anything like this. I'd be 100% open to a root and flash but I wouldn't know where to go first. Any advice?

If you Google "root infuse 4g" you will find lots of guides. I would read them all and register on Android forums and post any questions you have in the forum for your phone. Don't rush into it - that's how people brick their phones (i realise yours is nearly there anyway! )
