help with non-official 2.1

i know that there is probably a thread with this in it, but im new to these forums and i need some help, so if anyone could it'd be great.

I just updated my phone with some 2.1 from another android site, and its definately not the one i've been seeing that will be released from verizon. My big worry is if i will still be able to get the real one or not. Could someone help me with this plz?

It depends on what 'verson' you have. Go to settings, about phone, then look at the build number. Is it ESE81? If not you got screwed over. If so you should be fine. You can always follow the steps in this forum to reinstall the 2.1 update as most of us have it or have had it since day 2. The REAL update that is.
