Hey yall,
I got my girlfriend a sprint note 3 recently and she is in love with it. However, on my rooted device, she fell in love with the new kitkat style emojis (I call em blobs, she calls them gum drops)
I tried to get them on her phone and I used several methods (except rooting). I changed the default keyboard, and I changed the default SMS app. The best I can get is the emoji to appear on the keyboard itself, and I receive the emoji as such, but her message display will still show the traditional iphone/japanese style emoji. Same if I send her one, it is in the iphone/japanese style.
She is leaving in 2 days for Colorado for the summer and I dont want to send her out with a rooted or launcher device. Too much confusion will happen if she gets stuck not knowing how to handle a message, reset, or other things.
I think I already know the answer, but Im checking here to see if there is anything else I can do. If the launcher would work, I guess that would be a better option than rooting it.
Thank you!
