Help with notification icons.

[Cheri3691]

I've been seeing this new icon in my notifications title bar and it looks like an "eye". Does anyone Know what its for?

Welcome to Android Forums, Cheri! Glad to have you aboard.

Sounds like it might be the gps?

You didn't say what sort of phone you have, but try looking at this, Guide to Samsung Galaxy S3 Notification Bar / Status Bar Icons | Android Entity

The icons seem to me to be pretty much the same across phones. Do you see the icon id'd for you on that page?

Hope you figure it out and thanks for joining!

No I didn't see the one I'm talking about. Its not round like the gps icon. It looks just like an eye with 3 eyelashes.

It use to just flash on and off real quick but since this last update it stays on. And I have the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

Here is a picture of it

Let me know if you can't see the Picture.

Hello,

I found this about that, (Sound like Forest Gump, lol ) It is something called Smart Stay.

Eye icon constantly displays in notification ba... | Support

Apparently it is something you can turn on and off in Settings under Display.

I think you will be able to find out more about your phone here Samsung Galaxy Note 2 - Android Forums

Glad to have you with us!
