Help with pc tablet mid x5a...please!

Hi
I just got a pc tablet with android2.2 i think, but i dont understand very well how it works.Why cant i acess my harddrive when im usb conected?
Can i put photos or mp3 on it?Or do i need a sd card to use this things?Like clips,mp3 games...I now this is a lot of questions, but when we dont understand...we ask!

Does it not come with a instructions booklet? Surely such basic functions should be explained in it.
