Do you really have to be on stock ROM to change the PRL? I changed my PRL on my Optimus V without having to go stock. =/

Yes.. it won't write to phone on anything other than the stock based ROMs
Also its a lot faster if you get your MSL first with aLogCat then go to your phone dialer and input *#*#7678#*#* and enter your MSL and set it to Diagnostic Mode. This eliminates having to install AnyCut everytime you want to change your PRL

Is the MSL code same for each person? Or is it different for each phone? I already got an MSL from the Optimus V; are they the same?

Each phone should have a different MSL.. I had switched from the Optimus V and both my V and Triumph are different
