Help Help with Rainbow Grain on Screen Protector

When i have my matte screen protector on (which i just got recently), its really nice and smooth. But when displaying brighter/white colors, it gets really grainy. The guys who sold me it told me its like that. Is there a way to fix it?
 
not likely, its probably the nature of the screen protector. Most people avoid the matte or "low glare" screen protectors for that reason. They tend to appear dimpled or show a rainbow effect.
 
I really like the Steinheil Ultra Oleophobic screen protector. It's about as close as I've seen to a bare screen.
 
Hmmm not the best reviews on Amazon. I doesn't fit the whole screen, and hard to get on without bubbles and dust...

The describes every screen protector (doesn't it?)

(^Honest question as the gnex was my first device to get a protector -- for some reason im extra paranoid about it heh)
