Help help with rom

ok like A idiot i put the ultimate driod rom on phone w/o making a backup... i just want phone back to normal. now when i try and change it, it wont.

i wipe and stuff with Rom Manager
power off
power on with x
and nothin??? just moto M symbol

plz help

Well you have to replace it with SOMETHING. Do you have a preferred ROM to flash? Also looks like you need to reflash ClockworkMod recovery so you can install said preferred ROM.

I guess the lesson's learned about making backups so I won't preach THAT sermon

Many ROMs (including stock) are in ROM Manager.

DO NOT USE the Ultimate Droid ROMs in ROM Manager though, they are VERY old.

no bc now the phone wont load past the M logo at the beginning of boot. but i can access recovery with power + X . but i need a new rom i guess ... point is i cant use rom manager

Okay, you can download a ROM to your PC, move it to the root of your SDcard and THEN go into recovery and flash it. Do you have a micro-SDcard adapter?

ok found rom project elite 4.2 ? anygood? it loaded up i still have su and elite settings

I can't attest to Project Elite, but TheUltimateDroid 2.4 is as close to a perfect Froyo ROM as you'll find:

With either one you'll be better off than you are now.... GOOD LUCK

EDIT: Was UD2.5 the one giving you problems? Or did you try the Gingrbread RC?
