I'm just going to ask this in this thread. With the Tmous version of ARHD my data speeds suck. So I hear I can flash a radio? How do I go about doing that and can I do it with s-on?
Also I want to overclock my device. What kernal can I use that is 3.32 and that I can use while being s-on? I tried the bricked kernal over at xda but it killed my wifi and I couldn't over clock it.
if youre s-on,you cannot change the radio or any firmware. htcdev unlock with s-on only gives you access to boot, system, and recovery.
it may simpley be the coverage in your area. my t mobile service here varies from really crappy 1-2mbps down to as high as 8 or 9mbps depending on where i go. i have run unbranded and other regional radios and firmware and it does not make a percievable difference,so its not real likely that a different firmware set will help you. if you want to do your own experimentation, youll need to s-off and superCID,
not sure on the kernel question, either. i personally dont see any percieveable differences in any real world activities when i overclock, except for quadrant scores. at a stock 1.2 my apps open or close any slower, webpages load any differently, etc than they do at 1.4. admittedly i have not played with it much on the sensation, but i messed with it alot on my thunderbolt, and the sensation is alot more capable out of the box.
your best bet here is to search xda and the threads of the various available kernels. make sure youre using a kernel compatible with your rom-AOSP and sense kernels arent interchangeable.
keep in mind that the faster you spin the processor, the more unstable it will become, and the more heat it will generate, and the more battery it may consume. dont try and undervolt with an overclock. good luck
