Help Help with samsung vibrant software

Hi I am new to these forums and just got the samsung vibrant and it is my first android phone. I am in the US and recently downloaded the samsung Kies software for picture/video transferring and tethering and when i plug my device in it says "reconnect the device on samsung kies(pc studio)mode.Kies doesn't support this connect mode." can anyone help me with this please?

I've never used it, but I'm sure someone can elaborate that has actually used it.

Just install the samsung kies, ensure the software is working properly and now connect your device to your laptop, but before this selct the USB mode to Samsung Kies and very IMP (please do not connect in debugging mode cuz for me it didnt work in tht mode)

Now, you can access your device from Laptop...

kies = sucks !

As far as moving files around I found a wonderful file that works over the wifi
and all you do is give it a pin code and ur cell wifi ip and bingo no fussing around like kies

you have to install a tiny app on the ms box and d/l the apk to your cell
run the app on your pc and RTFM and its flawless

move delete files to your hearts content.
