Help help with screensaver/clock

The other night when the phone was plugged in to charge overnight.....I noticed there was a light grey screen (like a nitelite) with the time displayed on that screen. The problem is I do not know what caused that screen or how I could have that screen appear every night when the phone is plugged in, to charge.........I emailed support but I received no answer....this feature must be part of the OS on the lucid 3 as I never downloaded anything to cause that screen.
I feel that would really be useful to be able to turn that screen on when needed, such as when in a strange hotel room.
Can anyone explain how I can do that????:confused:

That might only be a screen that appears when charging. You might be able to find an app to give that effect. Also you could dim your brightness and set up one of your screens to look like that and set it not to go to sleep.
 
That is exactly what is was.....a screen that appeared while charging......but how can I have it do that on every charge.
It must be part of the phone or OS...I just do not know where its located.
 
No, the phone won't give a dim screen without turning Brightness way down. You could try dimmer apps in the play store, they will do exactly what you want.
 
I suppose I have not explained this correctly......let me try again.
when I plug -in my phone to charge, the screen is usually blank, but on this one night there was a lit screen ( not real bright and just a gray color with no icons or wallpaper) with the time displayed on that screen, and to the best of my recall there was nothing else on the screen. The display stayed on all night, I would like to be able to have that screen displayed when I wanted, when the phone is on charge.
I would imagine if that screen displayed every night when charging that would be fine.
 
I do have an alarm clock app........but I do not believe it was in use as no alarm went off.
Are you saying there is a setting somewhere in the app to display the time while charging?
These smart phones are too smart for me.
 
You may have just seen the lock screen dimmed while charging. Most of mine do the same thing. In the phone settings check and see if you have it set not to sleep while charging. That won't give you the off charger screen you want though. Again, there are a lot of screen dimmer apps in the play store. I'm sure they will dim the lock screen for you.
 
Thank you that was it.........I was not worried about an off charger screen........
The phone is just too smart for me.......
