Help Help with SD card issue please!

I have looked everywhere and tried every fix and nothing is working. It has to do with that god damn unknown error-18 crap. I have found the android_secure folder, tried removing it alltogether and it wont remove because the troublesome file everyone mentions, smdl2tmp1.asec, is either corrupted or unreadable according to windows. I can delete the file from the folder but it instantly reappears and is instantly corrupted or unreadable again. I cannot update many different apps without unmounting my SD card and today I ran into an app that will not install at all unless I have my card mounted but if its mounted I get the unknown error-18. Is anyone else experiencing this?
 
I have posted about unknown error-18 before and people seem to avoid it like the plague. All I see online are people having the same issue and 0 solutions. I'm blown away that HTC, Sprint, whoever has never addressed the issue. What the ****, guys?:mad:
