Help Help with something acting up on my galaxy

Hello when I'm III n the middle of texting or using my keyboard I feel my phone vibrate and my menu options pop up like I just pushed my menu key but I didn't. Anyone else have this problem??

That sounds like the phantom key issue. It tends to pop up mostly in low signal areas. If you just bought your phone and it is still under warranty, I suggest returning it and having them replace it. Some S2's have a shielding problem that when the phone is transmitting at higher power to reach the tower, it tricks the digitizer into thinking you pressed the menu key. Are you in a low signal area? As a test, you could try turning on airplane mode then try working with the phone and typing text and see if the menu key acts up.

I traded my HTC one HBO for my galaxy cause I liked my galaxy I had before but it did the same thing as this ones doing so I d Ok t think I have a warranty.

They know about issue with these S2, I didnt want to b w/o a phone for 2 plus weeks then get it back just to hear they won't cover it. So I saved me the hassel and did key swap. did not loose any important key function that I noticed. Go ahead and root then do a key swap, sure will save alot of agravation and %$%^&^* when txting.

Yep just live with it. My original S2 was a black pre-model and it was bad, to the point you could not use the phone. My new one is a late model white unit. It isn't as bad but still has the phantom click. So in reality they never really solved the issue, even the current models have the problem (my white one is only a couple months old). If you really want to solve it once and for all take it back and get another brand phone. Sorry. The S2 is a great hand held device but an "icky phone"... I turned my black one into an iPod or sPod if you like. Awesome music and video player plus if you get groovip you can make wifi calls with your google voice account. Just set it for airplane mode and turn on wifi.

I don't have this issue even living in a poor signal area. Not all of the phone have it. The problem is when they do give you a replacement, I am sure they don't really test it properly to see if the replacement has the issue. Unfortunately most companies don't really do troubleshoot and repair anymore, they just up and swap out the entire device.

In my case it wasn't a warranty swap. I tried but Samsung said there were no known issues with the S2E4G and Boost could not have cared less. So i just bought another S2. :)
