Help with switching iphone 5 to android

I am thinking about getting an ascend d xl instead of my iPhone 5. Would you recommend this. What flashable roms are good? Is it rootable?

well after doing some research i can't find much as far as rooting it. but i did find this:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1943006.

now it does not seem like there is any dev community for this phone. so the dev support will be minimal and almost non -existent. but my brief google search yielded nothing.

so the ultimate decision will be up to you of course. try and see if you can play around with it before you decide. i have not seen nor played with a huawei device so i can't comment on quality or anything like that.

for me though i will always look to root my phones. i usually do some research into how well the communtiy of devs are for that device. no dev communtity= do not buy this phone.......but that is just me.
