Root HELP with tether

i just odin my phone to fe16 & HAR by kouma & its running good but as of today i try to use my wifi tether 3.1apk14 started ok & i can connect but i cannot browse or no internet connection keep saying DNS unresolve (using Indulge in settings & softtap master) & when i try to turn it off & turn it back again it got errors like "wifi drivers etc" & i cannot turn on my wifi also it just saying error ive odinFe16 it again with no HAR but still same result.. any help & direct me to instruction is greatly appreciated.. THANKS a LOT ..got no problems with FA19 but cant stand the signal drop off .. unlike this new base.

edit: i tried to go back to FA19 & EJ06 same result.. connected but no internet connection & after turning if off & turning it on wifi tethers errors & also wifi error.. i tried it with no HAR2.0 & with same
 
I only use tethering when my cable internet is down and WiFi tethering was unreliable. I seemed to have a new issue every time I WiFi tethered.

Use Klink ($5 or so) to USB tether, which also charges ur Prevail and doesn't heat up nearly as much.
 
thanks kevin for great advice.. i can do it over laptop but thing is cant do it with tablet & reader.. i know somewhere out there theres still hope.. btw i can now turn my tether & wifi on/off without any errors (using 3.1.apk11 & connection granted to tablet & reader) i can see my tether & can connect but the thing is still no internet connectivity.. im a cheap bastard that cant even pay 25/month for tablet own wifi lolz... thanks

What OS is your laptop running?
 
You went through the galazy indulge and softap(master) setup options? Im gonna assume yes.

I had the same problem pop up after it used to work for me.

You should try changing the DNS entries and maybe even switch to channel 6. Ill look for the post on where to find the good DNS numbers.
 
Use wifi tether 3.1 pre-whatever number. Market one.

Primary DNS
66.1.8.132
Secondary DNS
66.1.8.133

Before I did that could connect but no internet. That give internet
 
OMG thank you so much "RTL & out of ideas" youre both angel from heaven lolz... got it working 1st i try to fix problems in cmw fix permission/ clean cache / davlik & then after booting installed su & binaries & try RTL DNS / ch.6 just cant start/error so i played around & came across about DNS in HTC forum about an emulator to determine proper DNS, got a free app from playstore & just follow inst. type "getprops" and saw 4 DNS & tried it BANGGGGGG it give IT connection.. THANK you so much guys thank you! thank you! & all that respond /c great ideas. if only where just neighbors time to get drunk hehehehehe. SUCCESS

I've always had great luck with "Barnacle". I used 2 always use reg. Android Tether but for the widget but its not working with Honeybread so it's back 2 barnacle and all I use is tether for internet.
