Help Help with turning off Charge battery notification

Someone please help! I have the new Samsung Droid Charge and the battery full notification that goes off in the middle of the night is annoying. I am on call and have to leave it on. Someone please help me figure out a way to diable this annoying alarm when the battery is full.

Hmmm...I just did some research, in and out of the phone and all I can come up with is either....

A: Go into Settings > Sound Settings > Volume > Notification Volume and lower it.

B: Go into Settings > Sound Settings > Notification ringtone and set it to "Facebook Pop" (I guess you'd have to have the Facebook app installed for that to show up) or some other sound that won't wake you up.

It's not a problem for me because I can sleep through a garbage truck crashing through a nitroglycerine plant.

I hate this too and never had this problem with my Incredible... I'm not sure if its Samsung or Google to blame but its a really horrible design..its like they never bothered to charge the phone during the night like 99% of users do

Bump.

There's GOT to be a solution to this that doesn't involve writing scripts or rooting my device. Is there an app that will fix this without changing every other notification? All I want is for my phone to STFU when the battery is full. Dayum!

When my phone woke me up at 3am this morning, I wanted to find a developer and gently bludgeon them.

I see from googling that this is a problem endemic to many of the Samsung phones.

I'm holding out for a hero on this one (not the HTC variety)

I agree that there should be a way to turn if off - but does this really wake a lot of people up? I have yet to be awakened by any sounds from any of my phones including the DROOOID sound. Makes me concerned that I might not hear my fire alarms if maybe I'm too deep in a sleep now.

I'm not a fan of it either. For some reason, other noises (the phone being fully charged or a text, for example) sometimes messes up my iheartradio app which I listen to over the night. So the full charge notification does not wake me up, but then later when I wake up I have no music. Minor annoyance, but it still would be nice to have the ability to turn that notification off.

I changed my notification ringtone from "Droid" to "Haze" (settings>sound settings) and it hasn't waken me yet. But then I don't remember ever hearing the Droid notifcation at night and I always use my phone for an alarm. I just figured it was fixed in the EE4 update LOL.

There is a "silent" option too, but I think that means you'd wouldn't hear any notifications.

This woke me up last night too. What a bonehead idea from Samsung. How hard would it have been to add a "do not notify when battery full" setting? Maybe 10 extra seconds writing the code.

Folks,

From the XDA Developers Forum, I have implemented the following solution successfully on my Samsung Galaxy S Epic 4G (with GingerBread.EI22), which has eliminated the "Battery fully charged. Unplug charger" notification from my phone. Good Luck! :)
