Help with wifi profiles

So what are the values of the 4 variables I mentioned before?

Once you've noted them down, switch WiFi manually, see what Tasker does with it and please let me know what you get.

OK I will next time I'm happens
..... When I manually turned WiFi on... about 2 seconds later WiFi was turned off I would assume tasker turned it off.... However when I reset geofaces in auto location WiFi was turned back on.....

Is this latest screenshot before or after resetting the geofences?
What I need is the 'before' state.

I'm currently working on a system that detects when there is more than one geofence enabled, in which case it resets the geofences monitor.
I believe you still only have 2 geofences so it's easy to set up but I have 5, 4 of which are mutually exclusive.

OK next time I loose WiFi at home I will post screen shot of vars.... I wanted u to have something to compare when it is working properly

Last screen shot everything is working properly

I see that the variables are all as expected.
Let's keep an eye on the WiFi state when at home or at work. Carry on keeping me informed!

For the issue of having both geofences being detected at the same time, I contacted the developer of AutoLocation and he said that sometimes geofences can be a bit off. The information comes from Google Play Services (namely Google Fuse Location API) so there isn't much he can do.

I've got a setup for detecting multiple geofences but for now, we can keep it simple for your phone (let me know if you start adding geofences).

What you need to do is add the following profile:

Profile 'Two Active Geofences'
Context 1: State > Plugin > AutoLocation Geofences > At Home, inside
Context 2: State > Plugin > AutoLocation Geofences > At Work, inside

Task 'Reset Geofences Monitor'
1. Alert > Notify > Both geofences were active...
2. Plugin > AutoLocation Geofences > Geofence Monitor > Stop
3. Task > Wait > 5 sec
4. Plugin > AutoLocation Geofences > Geofence Monitor > Start

Task 1 is only there for you to know when the issue was detected and (hopefully) solved. In time, you can remove it.

(If anyone else browsing here is interested in a profile to detect multiple mutually exclusive geofences, let me know)

I have WiFi at work but do not use it because after 20 min of inactivity it kicks you off and u have to Re sign in it is a pain
I wish there was a way to stop it from kicking u out

I found a small bug.
At night, if you switch the screen off and then quickly back on, the WiFi is not switched back on.
This is because of the 'Collision handling' setting for the task 'Should I Be Connected'. It should be set to 'Abort existing task'.

Just checking something: Is the WiFi scanning always available? (see advanced WiFi settings)

Just asking .... Do I need WiFi to use AutoLocation

I would think it is set to always available ..... Give me some time to look

There is a difference between having WiFi always on and WiFi scanning always on.

My understanding is that geofences depend heavily on WiFi (i.e. Google knows where the WiFis are).
