Help with wifi profiles

I'm sure one of the others has answered this but this is my setup

This is how I have set mine up (Note do this while at home);

1. Press on + and choose 'State'
2. Press on 'Net' > 'WiFi Near'
3. Press the (magnifying glass) and select your WiFi network from the list
4. Set the minimum signal strength etc as required (e.g You may get reception down the road with 1 signal strength, so set it to 2 or 3 so you have to be closer)

Now that is created, you need the tasks

1. Create a new task, call it something like 'At Home'
2. Select 'Net' > 'WiFi' > 'On'
3. Create a new task, call it something like 'Leaving Home'
4. Select 'Net' > 'WiFi' > 'Off'

I've also added things like turning Mobile Data off when at home, increasing volume etc but that's up to you
 
It's a simple setup, quite nice.
The only downside I see about it so far is that with the default parameters, it will take the phone up to 10 minutes to realise that you've left home or work (or arrived) if the screen is off (see preferences > monitor > all checks).

It would be interesting to investigate the impact on battery life when reducing this 600s value, I guess it depends on what other profiles have been set up.
 
Assuming Codesplice is going to sort it out shortly, let's carry on investigating...

The task 'I should Have Wifi' is here to set the variable, sorry if I was not being clear there.
Check that task instead.
Have you managed to spot where exactly Tasker was getting it wrong?

I'm very very sad to say.... But I am just about convinced my phone can not handle this profile / task

Check that the geofences monitor is on, that GPS is on and that the Location settings are on High Accuracy. That WiFi scanning is enabled and there's actually a WiFi network for the phone to get a location from.

That's all I can think of at the minute.

Do you mean you've had an email from our site telling you your inbox is full? Have copies of your sent messages been saved each time you send a message?
 
I hope this thread is still open. I have a couple of questions.
1} Do you have to have the Location {GPS} on for GeoFences to work?
2} When first run it doesn't set up all the variables.
3} The lock screen still comes on and is not disabled.
4} I'm using the latest version that was uploaded.
5} I have a Samsung SG5 phone.
6} Not using Night or Work Profile

Thanks for answering the questions. I like the tasker profiles.
