Root Help with wifi!!

Hi, I have a prevail that came to me refurbed and rooted. I re rooted it with odin/cwm/ctmod/kouma per the instructions, and it worked perfectly EXCEPT that I cannot for the life of me connect to my home wifi network. It just doesn't show up in the list of available networks at all. I can see networks from all my neighbors (I live in an apartment), but not mine. I have gone in and manually tried to set up my network info. I have unplugged/replugged, rebooted etc. but nothing seems to work. I never had any trouble connecting before this. Any good ideas? I do not use 3G at all.

Do you have the router set to hide the ssid?
Edit-you said you tried manually setting it up... so I have no idea. Have you connected a prevail (or other android) to that router before?

Do you know what kind of signal it broadcasts?

yup, could be a wireless b / g / n issue as well.............. Not sure what the Prevail needs, but if the router is set to " n " only the phone might not see the router !

EDIT : I have set my router to communicate with all of them ( b / g / n ), but this is also the slowest option.... But in my case, I just have several devices which I need to be able to connect !

I don't think it's the router. before I did the reroot, partition etc, the phone never had a problem seeing my network, or connecting. I have a belkin router directly connected to an imac and with a home network, and I noticed in the status part of settings the wifi Mac address is different than on my router. I have no idea why that would be, and I can't change any status info on the phone. I checked all my ssid names/password info on my router page and everything checks out except for the mac address. It just seems like something got deleted in some process, or that there is something I need to enable or disable on the phone, but nobody else seems to be having this problem. phooey. Maybe I should reflash the rom.

What do you mean with "the MAC address is different than on your router" ??? MAC addresses ( as far as I know are hard-coded by the manufacturer and cannot be changed by a ROM or rooting......

Can you detail that a little more ? I mean, I have MAC filtering enabled on my router and put the phones MAC address in the routers settings.....
