Root HELP!!!! Won't boot past HTC screen!!

thanks so much for your help. is there any way i can at least get the phone to work? anyone? can i just flash the boot.img thats my backup? or can i just factory reset and then put the rom on again? what can i do here??? basically at this point i just need a phone

Hmm... I'm not too sure. I was thinking that your issue was that you couldn't restore your backup for some reason, and that the boot.img would fix that. So with that now flashed, I was thinking that trying your restore again might be helpful.

As far as the loading bar, no idea. And I'm gonna have to hit the hay, but I'm sure someone will be able to help ya out. Good luck!

The loading bar on the top is the phasing zip and installing one (the little pink vertical one) that you find when installing something from your hboot

ok, so im trying your suggestion, just now rebooting... got the htc screen... booted again to htc screen.... > and the beats logo "HTC EVO 3D"

Sorry about asking but what exactly happened when you did what I said earlier?

I was typing that up prolly right as you posted it.. but right now im still on the beats logo screen... the boot animation for the midnight rom...aaaaaand just now it went to the good ol phone.

And I don't think it was the boot image I think those zips messed with either his framework or his build.prop (Idk if a build prop could stop a phone from booting tho)

Lol don't worry about it and if you want to restore all of your data you can go to where your backup is and move it from /clockworkmod/backup/thenameofthefile/data.ext4.tar to /clockworkmod/advanced/data/thenameofthefile/data.ext4 like this

Oh, I thought you had reflashed the ROM (or restored a backup) already like in the other thread you originally posted in. Glad it all got sorted in the end.
