I has switched from the iPhone to the droid Eris. I love the eris so much more but I would like to remove sense UI. I would basically like to have just a vanilla android 2.1 rather than just having sense turned off. Basically here is what I am looking for...

- how to install a version of vanilla 2.1
- if need be, how to root the dang thing
