my evo wont turn on any more i downloaded unrevoked to it because a youtube video showed me u could just download to it instead of downloading the driver and the phone turned off and wont restart
 
i downloaded unrevoked strait to my evo i skipped downloading it to my computer and i got it to go to the thing where u hold the power and the volume down but i tried to fastboot and it turned black again
 
ok im sorry but she is running again it was a combo of that and running out of power i recomend not downloading unrevoked to evo directly it doesnt work and i found out on another youtube video it doesnt work anymore like that so people download the driver then download to computer then put driver on phone then use unrevoked
 
well.. hell.. glad you worked it through.

and always have a full battery.. when you want to do this kind of stuff..
 
This sounds suspiciously like either junk information or old information. You have a link to the youtube video? Wouldn't want anyone trying something that obviously doesn't work :).

I suggest if you want to root that you follow the instructions in the Rooting for Dummies sticky. Installing the drivers isn't all that difficult. Please ask if you have any questions.
