Ok after DAYS of trying i finally rooted my x8. but i dont get the 2.1 tutorial on how to put xrecovery on the x8. i have the files that i need in the system/bin but whenever i press back its never works.

Cn someone PLEASE help me?ill be verygrateful! :)x

try pressing back several times..

did you change the permissions of the three files?
 
The fact is, it wont boot into xrecovery if i press BACK key few times, only if i keep pressing the POWER/LOCK button.

Idk why is that so, but it wont work with BACK button here...
 
Confirmed back button. Didn't even try power button. Try it. Turn off you phone and then when you start it press back button SEVERAL TIMES. Actually press it until xRecovery starts. If it doesn't then you didn't install correctly.
 
Weird, now it works with BACK button.... Strange, at 1st it wouldnt go into xRecovery unless i press the power/lock button few times...

Use Root Explorer :)

Find those files, click the Mount R/W button, and just long press on each of the files :) Then a menu will show and choose Set Permisions :) Just check all the boxes :)
reboot and your done :)
 
ok ive moved the files into system/bin. set permisons(clicked all off them) then removed battery,waited until SE logo comes on black and white then keep on pressing the back button for agers and it just loads the phone like normal.can someone give me the correct files?because i have the x10 mini? and sometimes its downloads to .tar.bz2 and i dont know what to do with that file. :(
 
From when it starts, press, unpress, press, unpress, press, unpress etc.
Keep in mind that I didn't say anything about SE logo. Just press it, unpress, reapeat from the moment you see anything on the screen. ANYTHING!
If it does not work, you didn't install correctly.

busybox would be an issue I guess so..
did you'd the busybox from the zip file?
