For the love of god, i have tried numerous times to root my lg optimus s.....and am totally unsuccessful...becoming really annoying...can someone out there help me..possibly via skype??? I have recently accepted the new sprint update..i know..lost my wi-fi hotspot..which is why i'm trying to go into root mode...i'll be damned if i'm going to pay 40 bucks for ****ing wi-fi....thanks....david...IF POSSIBLE SOMEONE CAN TEXT ME IF THEY ARE AVAILABLE TO HELP ME WITH MY DILEMMA...(973)862-9048

Why did you accept an OTA update? Every single guide to rooting tells you not to, or it will kill your root.

i accepted the update before realizing and actually doing my homework about rooting and my former free wifi hotspot...after i did it...i realized i was screwed

i have never actually rooted my phone yet....thats the problem...every link and app i try is unsuccessful....i wasn't going to root it until after i accepted that ****ing update that killed my wifi hotspot

Check post #29 HERE. I typed out exactly what I did to root 2 phones. If you follow exactly, you should be fine. Good luck.
