okay. so i got my phone rooted, installed shabby mod (stock theme), shabby kernel and CWM all successfully in one try. i didnt have any problems with installing them.

so i got a little excited and started cookin up some themes on UOT. flashed it, it worked fine. didn't like the way it looked so i used CWM recovery to restore my old settings that had the blue's theme on it. and when i did that, i saw the unlock screen normally, but when i unlocked it all i was able to see was a black screen with just a notification bar on top.

so i restored it to my original settings without shabby or blue's theme. and it was fine. and now i can't flash shabby again. it keeps bootlooping and just can't get it to work. i tried odin before i flashed shabby and it did the same thing. i tried factory reset before flashing shabby and i still can't get it past the boot logo that says "samsung".

i never had a problem flashing it the first time so why won't it work now?
someone help pleaseeee?
 
try doing a factory/cache wipe from CWM and then boot into system, BE SURE YOU BACKUP EVERYTHING BEFORE WIPING
 
What version of shabbymod did you initially flash?

Can you even get to the CWR screen?

Sorry if I misunderstood but did you preform a nandroid backup?

When you say "restore it to my original settings" do you mean a odin restore to stock OR or just a factory restore?

Before CWR and Odin came out. I was in the same position as you and the only way to fix it was to flash shabbymod .6.

Later on it happened again and the only way I got it up and running that time was to flash Shabbymod .4. Which is just a deodexed stock rom

So If in doubt. Try to flash a earlier version of the shabbymod rom

the original setting was just stock froyo rooted.
and i tried factory reset on CWM too.
didnt work..
the only shabby mod i had was 0.9 loaded with stock rom.
well.. i had the 0.9 loaded at first before.

well either way that don't matter now cuz i had odin recovery done with ee14 root CWM version.

but even with that i can't flash shabby still.
 
I GOT IT! LOL. SO SIMPLE.

i just kept flashing this "Dont like my theme? http://tinyurl.com/64a8ykx"
instead of the actual 0.9 loaded first.

after i flashed the actual 0.9 first it worked fine.
and then i flashed that link as well and it worked too. i guess that version didnt include the actual rom?
 
nope, your supposed to combine them basically so it looks stock without shabbys theme. Well, either combine or flash it 2nd.
