Root Help?

4b is just asking you to download that file and place it on your phone's SD card. So just connect the phone to a computer via usb and copy the file, or even download it from your phone's browser.

The recipe described will work. I'd strongly recommend making sure you understand it before trying it, and also not to try improvising parts of it, or mixing with other guides.

What phone type (GSM/CDMA) and software version do you have? You may be able to use unrevoked (as described in the rooting faq) instead, if that seems simpler and you do not need S-Off.

I figured it out, I got S-Off and used unrevoked to root it. Although I used it though redhat to push it though. Now on to the HTC 7 Pro:D

My apologies, frist time useing this forum and wasnt sure where to put it.

That shouldnt have worked and what you did was completely wrong. You should have followed the guide properly. Anyone else reading this, do not use unrevoked to root after s-off. All you do is flash the root zip as per the guide. If you plan on flashing a Rom, you don't even need root, just s-off and recovery

I tried everything I knew flash it but it was unsuccessful , I even tried to download the .zip to the SD card with no success.

Of course it needs to be on sd card. How would recovery see it otherwise?

You weren't getting confused and trying to fastboot flash the zip were you?
