i was testing alpha 3 cm and bootlooped, so i wiped everything and flashed alpha 2 then alpha 3 and it worked like a dream, but then i was going to go back to my nandroid backup because i need data lol, and i flashed the non ext-4 recovery, and now i cant restore , i keep getting the same error in cwm
E: cant mount cache/recovery/log
E: cant open /cache/recovery/log
E: cant mount cache/recovery/log
E: cant open /cache/recovery/log

*i was able to restore my phone but i still get this error in cwm, any ideas for a fix? ive tried going to stock & stuff but it still didnt work.

I got the sane error but restored fine. I wouldn't worry about it.

Testing is fun isn't it...yeah not sometimes. Learned the hard way here with at least 5-6 soft bricks on my esteem and one on alittles admire. Got sick of searching for a good start point for testing so spent bout 3 hrs last week downgrading/factory reset then upgrade then root to have a base for testing. Trying to get my hands on another admire to make it my test dummy ;) Soon very soon!
 
to remove your errors just flash back ALPHA 1 ok 1 NOT 2 or 3 and than reboot recovery install the zip he has on his post named cwm flashable zip of suig use factory reset and and format system and than go to advanced and reboot recovery again after that restore ur backup or flash another rom thats not cm7 and i think your set.
 
or if that doesnt work im not sure Lol just mess around with it :P i got rid of those errors after doing something like that.
 
so ive been doing some of my own research :) and it seems like my phone cant live without ext 4 being formatted on to it and or most of the roms use it. thats why you get that error it means u have a rom on there that uses ext 4 i could be wrong :\
but it seems like reinstalling cm7 alpha 1 fixes the error yup.
