Root Help.....

Phone:Samsung galaxy w
Rom:Cyanogenmod 9 with ice cream sandwich and rooted
What happen:My phone is hard bricked

This phone is brand new. I went to find a way to increase my internal memory and I found it using Partition Memory

Any luck helping me and it's Hard bricked which means phone is not responsive even the power, home and volume but4on wont work

You have messed up partitions!!

So, my advice is to return phone to Samsung Service Centre, and claim it got messed up updating with Samsung Kies, and hope you get away with it.....;)

It does seem Sammy will usually honour Warranty....

several ppl on XDA have had mainboard replacements after bricking phone......hope for the best..

Do you have a link for the Partitioning App you used??

Yea
Increase Internal Memory by Link2Sd ~ iGOOGLE-PLAY

and is it ok if I said that I was updating my phone and then my computer crash and my phone become very laggy and apps wont work then it rebooted or something believable. If I return my phone to the service centre will it change the motherboard?

This is the tutorial I watched
YouTube - INCREASE INTERNAL MEMORY BY PARTITION MEMORY CARD IN ANDROID (DEMO ON GALAXY Y)

Dude, you can say whatever makes you comfortable and is acceptable morally to you!!!!

The tutorial you link seems to be very dodgy!!!! in my opinion!!!!

He never warned that partitioning the SD card actually formats and wipes it???

The Links2SD App is freely available on Google Play, so why d/l from Mediafire??

Also, this Skin of CWM???? WTF......it is all geared toward the Galaxy Y [which has tiny internal memory for apps, 180Mb....

whereas the Galaxy GT-i8150 has over 1Gb...more than the guy on the video creates on his SD card ext partition!!![256Mb]

This Skin of CWM......surely you have used the proper CWM for our Phone, created by Arco?? and updated it for CM9, which you have/had???

Well I'm planning to go to Samsung place but I'm still a teenager and I'm worried that it will require my parents which they don't know abt my broken phone

And if they say they will fix it I still need a excuse and I don't trust myself so if you got a decent excuse please share it :)

Listen.....I'm a dad of 59 yrs.......got two sons aged 33 and 30......

I can tell you.....the amount of stuff they broke when they were teens!!!

Go tell your Dad or Mum, just outta respect for them.....especially if they paid for your phone :)

Believe me, they will understand, you didn't do anything real bad, just wanted to improve your device, and Samsung probably repair without asking too many questions......even ask your Dad or Mum to go with you, can't hurt.

However, as I said before, it is about whatever you are comfortable with as regards returning to Samsung, but AFAIK, they don't really go into how you bricked your phone, as Kies breaks so many phones, I would blame Firmware Upgrade using Kies as an excuse.......it has been known to happen. OK??

Hope it works out for you :D

well i sent my phone to samsung but i was thinking of rooting it again but not installing custom roms. All i need is to move some app or data to my external memory because internal memory is facking me up but i know is that im not using the complicated method like link2sd.The once i know is GL to SD or app2sd which is for me super easy to understand and not worry about bricking :)

This reply is probably too late for the original poster but I rooted my phone, then I installed and used Gemini app manager to move apps to my SD card....but that's still only moving them from one internal storage block to another. So I installed CM9 original and used it's configuration adjustment capability to use external SD card as internal memory.....and then copied my apps (again) to my removable SD card......
