Hi guy's, love the phone, had it for a few months now and still learning new things everyday lol, noticed today though that a little icon popped up in the top left hand corner, it is a letter i in a circle with a stroke through it. Anyone got any idea's what it is. Cheers Woody.

Also you say top LEFT corner - this is usually the domain of downloaded apps, as opposed to system icons.

It's the letter I as stated in the original post.

You've turned off notifications bud. You just need to enable them (swipe down to get to the notification screen) and it'll disappear

oops - my eye skipped straight past that, sorry.

That notification thing sounds familiar - did it disappear with the 4.1.1 update? Only I can't see it when I pull my screen down and I am certain it was there.

Yes I think it disappeared in Jelly bean, thats why we've gone from one thread per day about this to one every 3 days

Thanks alot guy's, the simplest of things lol, just one other thing, wife's phone s3 told her to do a update, she did it, it rebooted now she has lost the original keyboard, is now in American style and can't seem to get rid of it? Any ideas. Cheers Woody.

settings/input and languages

now hit the gear beside samsung keyboard, in here are all the keyboard settings

Thanks for that, still can't seem to get it back the way it was. She's lost all her original smiles and stuff, checked my settings, set hers to the same and nothing. Might just have to download another keyboard maybe . Cheers woody....
