I have now, on my lock screen, at the bottom, 'AT&T' then below left it has a big red plus sign, which I assume if I push will dial 911 - I know nothing about this or how it happened - then it says 'Emergency call,' then to the right a little keypad w/the numbers 1,2,3 and 4. I have to unlock the screen w/an app (Facelock) I had on the other phone to protect my email, but now every time I try to open something I have to use the app, including getting into my phone... some days I really miss my Blackberry...

I've Googled around like I always do before I go to a forum, have not found anyone else w/this particular problem. If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it!

This sounds like another case of:

Your Note is a SGHi717 (Note LTE), not a GT-N7000, - they are almost completely different products. You need to post your question in the i717 forum rather than here.
