Help Help!

I got this S5 almost about a month ago and just recently I was at a friends house and it was dropped and now I have a little damage on the corner of the phone. I want to know what I would in terms of fixing the damage. Would I have to replace the whole phone or would I be able to take it in to a Verizon store and they could fix the damage themselves? My dad bought the phone and I don't know whether or not he got any warranty. I want to know if there anything I could do before telling him because he would flip out.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to our AndroidForums, livelifereckless.

I've moved your thread to the main S5 area for you.

Is your S5 no longer functioning (i.e., did the damage to the corner make the screen or the digitizer stop working or working properly)?

You've certainly still got a warranty, but I don't think your issue would qualify as a warranty issue.

If your father got insurance, then they (Assurion?) will send you a replacement but you'd still have the replacement fee ($100?) to pay.

(also, no, the Verizon store can't do any actual repairs to your device).

Let's see what the other folks have to say since they actually own an S5.

Best of luck!

No clue about fixing it but I would suggest a good heavy duty case in the future. I just got an otterbox and love it, so rugged and sturdy. Adds more bulk to the phone but I don't care as I feel it's protected good if I drop it plus I bought the good screen protector. Mary
