helppp battery drain???

im noticing a slight battery drain with my phone when i first got it the battery would last hr and a half- 2 hours when not being used and would not drop 1% now if i leave my phone for 40-50 mins im losing one percent usually 2 in jsut that amount of time without even using it....i have sync bluetooth all that good stuff turned off and cant find whats sucking the battery , i downloaded system panel but didnt know what i was looking for....any suggestionsss

There are some good battery monitoring apps in the market. Odds are, there's an app running in the background sucking up your battery. I had the same case with an app called NoLED. When I installed that app, I could barely get 8 hrs before charging (perhaps I had some settings wrong in the app...). But when I uninstalled this, I've been getting 14hrs+.

So, download a battery monitoring app (like juice defender, I think...) to see if an app is sucking up battery.

Hope that helps.

Get BatterBatteryStat from xda (free if you're on premium), it shows what wakelocks are stopping the phone from deep sleep. Or better yet, use setcpu to see which processes are running at high clock thus cycling the cpu and draining the battery.

The first thing I did when I got mine (even though I have the International version), is to go into settings and turn off auto-sync in the Accounts & Sync sections of Settings.

Also, put the screen on about 1/3rd brightness with Auto.

The I rooted and FROZE both Wi-Fi sharing processes with Titanium Pro. Also, in Titanium Pro I Un-Installed AP News and Accu Weather. Both of those are known to drain battery even with not 'running'.
Once you ARE rooted, it might not be a bad idea to get rid of some of the AT&T bloatware too.

I can get 6-8 hours of continuous on screen time now, which is comparable to what my iPhone 4 was.

What are your current settings with regards to apn, wifi, sync, background data, brightness, GPS etc..a screenshot of your battery usage screen may also be helpful.
