I've successfully upgraded from ZVB, to ZVE through LGNPST! I had all sorts of data connectivity problems when "LGMobile Support Tool" upgraded my phone to ZVE. These problems seem to be gone as of the phone being up and running for an hour with the LGNPST ZVE flash! 4G seemed snappy, so I gave it a speed test and saw 12.61Mbps! :car:

Simply extract the zip: MS910ZVE_01.zip

Big thanks to BRAINZ2013 for the renaming tip that led me in the right direction!


 
Aren't you suppose to have the LAB version of LGNPST? or is that only for downgrading? Also did you get into test mpde by upgrading? Just being cautious.. Test mode is the worse state your phone can be in. :(
 
Nahhhh that is the lab version the only other version is that 1.3 and with the 1.3 you can do all sorts of stuff and the 1.3 you dont need some dll . I have to read it again but 1.3 is for refurbishing software . . Now the test mode counldnt say cause if you reset it worked for me

well you have to use this with the lgpnst this will be helpful when its time to downgrade but as you see we may not need to downgrade cause i did this and i have no problems with test mode just the mms and sms and i already had that issue before flashing this :bike::congrats:


just try this out and where it say use the zvb tot file just use this file MS910ZVE_01.zip
but i keep this lgpnst on my laptop/pc all the time it comes in handy

No sir, I did not get into test mode by flashing this. I've been there and It's not that bad, I just followed fuzzy's tutorial to the tee.
 
UPDATE:

Last night everything was golden. Before I went to sleep, I flashed #2 because I hate stock. Waking up and seeing 3G this morning disappointed me. I was right back to my "4G is dead until restart issue" again.

On ZVE flashed from the lg tool, this would happen to me anywhere from 2-10 mins after reboot. But last night it was fine for about 4 hours, constant SUPER FAST 4G on PRL 9033 (see attachment below).

I'm currently back on Stock ZVE from the tot to see if 4G holds up, or if it was #2 3.1 causing the issue. :(

Is it conclusive that this .tot file will help data speeds?? I upgraded to ZVE but nothing has changed as a matter of fact I was already on PRL 3035 before I did the upgrade and my conection right now on PDA is 1024 kbps on 4G.
 
If you don't mind me asking, How did you come by the tot? i would love to get my hands on the latest tot for the revolution. Damn test mode. After fixing test mode I get no update available. I have the latest software(ripped it from a backup), just not the radio.

Is this .tot zip only for those stuck in test mode? Or will it help my data speeds? I have already upgraded to ZVE but my 4G speeds are terrible.
 
I for some reason can not get this to work. I click on things and am unable to even load the zve file....

I restarted the computer, and still nothing... It recognizes that a phone is plugged in, but I can not do anything at all. Everything I click on does not do a thing... The only thing I can click on is select dll... I may be doing something wrong as I have not utilized this software in a long time... Any ideas?
 
I was able to get it to work. I thought this would wipe my phone, but it did not. I will look into a factory reset as it still did not solve my 4G issue.... I ended up uninstalling my copy of lgnpst, and utilized the one in the instructions...
 
Try to use the lg update tool . but keep in mind metro is about to do away with the CDMA .yes CDMA is about to be a thing of the past . so sorry but the lg esteem your holding on to will not work in a few months. They are offering you a trade in for a new device . but this maybe your problem
 
ive noticed the update tool will not work on my end,it stops at 2mins n dnt do anything,but i used it on my connect n it had a new update vv6,but it will flash real quick with the esteem that theres a new updat then state i have the latest update,ive even used other computers,still no go for esteem,it use to put me back to stock zve,so if anyone else is havn issues let me kno plz,so i kno its nt jus me.thanks
 
not to highjack thread but anyone know why phone wont connect to pc. I have rom #2 but for some reason when I plug phone into computer it charges but nothing is recoginized. I tried changing mass storage, tried lg updater, tried new usb driver ....nothing
