here's a silly question...

Can you use normal window cleaner to clean your screen, or does the screen have a special coating that might be damaged. See told ya it was a silly question :-) but who has the answer?
 
Under no circumstances should Window cleaners be used on Android phones! You should only use them on a Windows phone i.e Windows phone 7 or HTC HD7 with windows.:)

But seriously and at the risk of sounding like an idiot, can I use a bit on the end of some kitchen roll, im not going to hose it down or anything.
 
I think the display has a kind of anti-fat coating.
I would moisten the kitchen roll with a little water only ;)

Window cleaner is a big no no (also glass cleaners) at least use a LCD cleaner and with a micro fiber cloth because it may tend to scratch.

Never use alcohol too, it will destroy the coating in time.

screen protector is definitely the way to go - you can't tell they've been fitted and can be replaced when they get scratched / too dirty.

If you really must clean the screen itself I'd use a little water and one of those cloths that you get to clean glasses with (eye glasses). And then I'd order a pack of 10 screen protectors... !
