I'm downloading the nightly 0329 build that is supposed to include the new kernel: [ROM] UNOFFICIAL CM9 Nightly Builds - RootzWiki - Page 96

Make sure you make a backup. This is supposed to be very fast.

Can you install it over Alpha 2.0 and keep all your apps/settings?

Make a backup in recovery and give it a try. I think you'll be ok.

You WILL need the latest gApps tho.

Eyeballer's build was built too soon to have the updated kernel, but it will have it tomorrow.

The first time I flashed it I boot looped and had to do it again. I'd rather not go through that with my phone.

I thought I was going to install a new MIUI 4.0 (ICS) build on my DroidX tonight too. So far nothing.

I was checking the nightlys out looking for 0330 and is 0329 different than it was yesterday? It was uploaded today?

That was a special debug build. You can view the folder here: android cm_tenderloin-userdebug : /archive [Jenkins]

If you want to stick with the new kernel, I'd use eyeballer's builds. Today and moving forward it will be the new kernel and a few other tweaks like new drivers.

Goo Manager should also have his builds available.

I installed 0330 from that link but it says it,s android 4.0.3. Is it supposed to be 4.0.4 now? I just wiped cache and dalvik, would that matter?

No, it doesn't, matter. I just did a full wipe and reflash.

Ok, got the 0329 from the other link and it is 4.0.4 but eyeballer's 0330 apparently isn't. Unless I'm in the wrong place.

I noticed the same thing. I installed eyeballer's 0330 on my nephew's TP and it was 4.0.3 too. It's done now, not going to mess with it. He was on a pre-alpha2 build so it's all new to him anyway.

That's what I saw in the documentation as well.

There doesn't appear to have been a nightly since the 3/29 build, which I flashed on my TP. It reflects a 4.0.3 Android version (still).

There have been nighties since the 29th. I have downloaded all of them via goomanager without a problem. As of the 31st nightly download, they are reading as 4.0.4.
