hero and the you tube app, awful

hi all, has anyone else noticed, how awful the you tube app for the hero is ? almost all the time i'm getting the screen prompt saying can't play this file/ video or something like this. who's to blame for this ? is it htc , sprint , google , if anyone has any answers of basic fix's on this disgrace, post it. after all being a google phone, you tube being part of google itself, and android being their o/system. can't they just make their own stuff work ?

Works through the browser for me, but the app has never worked. Supposedly, the update will fix the app.....

I am using 2.1 (rooted) and always played through the browser and didnt have a problem. I tried youtube through the app and it seems to be working fine as well. I had problems even through the browser with 1.5.
