Help Hero mysteriously stopped working

My HTC Hero just stopped working, it will not turn on or charge or do anything. I was on my computer with it sitting on the desk working fine then when I went to check it, nothing. It has no power to it at all. Does anyone know what this problem is?

Trying pulling the battery and leave it out for a few minutes, then refit it, connect to the wall charger and try powering on. If that doesn't work then I'm afraid it sounds like a hardware failure.

happend to me too.
turned out to be the battery that had just shut down. something wrong with the electronics inside. fortunatly i had insurance, so i just shipped it in, and got a new battery in return
