In post 13 Donb put the Z4root apk in the post. On your phone click on it and it will download. It is not on the market that's why we have to post it for you. Let me know when you get it downloaded on your phone.
 
That means that is using the sd card like a disk drive this will allow you to move the files from your computer to your phone. You however don't need your computer at all for rooting.

Did you download Z4root from post 13?
 
Where do i download z4? If im doing it just from the phone? I have unrevoked in my file that i messed with. I downloaded ES file mgr
 
1. Go to this web page on your phone's browser.
2. Go to post 13
3. Touch the z4root that is in blue and it will download
 
Oic you mean go to this web page on my phone and look for 13 and click it right. No wonder i was confused hang on ok ty

I'm not going anywhere for awhile so I will walk you through this the best I can.
 
Yep open es file explorer and go to the download folder. Find z4root in that folder. Touch it and it will ask you to install.
 
install blocked it says i also have anti virus on here should i uninstall that. Im at settings on z4 install right now
 
Yea I would uninstall anti virus for now. Also go to settings>applications and touch allow apps from unknown sources. Then tap the development tab then turn usb debugging on.

Edit: Open it up. Choose permanent root.
 
ok rebooting does this take awhile. Im doing this all from phone right? Its still rebooting or maybe froze does that happen?
 
Yep and it will go through its thing then it will say rebooting. Let it sit there for 5 minutes. It almost never reboots on its own. So just hold the power button down and turn off the phone then turn it back on. Then open your app drawer and see if you have an app called super user.
 
If its frozen just take the back off and pull the battery out and put it back in. Power back up. Now look for super user app.

Yea it almost never reboots by itself that is totally normal.
 
Ok open rom manager. The top option in the app is flash clock work mod recovery. Tap it and wait till it says flashed successfully. When prompted allow super user.
