Hero on its way :-)

I finally pulled the trigger on a Hero this evening... SIM free in Mocha Brown

Will match my pipe and slippers nicely.

The weekend is going to go sooooooo slowly
Plenty of time to make a short list of useful apps from the Market I guess.

haha, i did the short list of usefull apps aswel when i was waiting for the hero,
i love the phone, so nice, i have no complaints

btw...im being serious....how much do you want for the w705? Im in the uk aswel

Is the google stars (astronomy) app included as standard ? Not sure of the actual name but it uses GPS (or cell triangulation) to show constellations visible in the night sky.

A colleague showed it to me on his Hero the other day - it's awesome

no its in the app store, easy to find, its like the 10th one down in the applications section as its sorted via popularity

also i think its called skymaps

here is an idea for you
find all the apps you want to download form here:
AndroLib, Find all applications and games available in the Android Market for your Android Phone, HTC Dream, HTC Magic etc...
then save all the QR codes( those boxes with dots on it)

then go on your hero, get the barcode scanner app, and then all you have to do is scan all the qr codes you saved and you have all your apps, instead of sitting there manually searching for them

Ah-hem, I think you mean the Market, you need to be of a more fruity persuasion to use the App Store.

I felt the same way once I'd decided to get the Hero. It is an amazing gadget and so much fun to play around with. The Google astronomy app is mind boggling and even without the practical use, it's a good one to show off with.

I hope you enjoy the phone as much as I am.

If you point the phone down at the ground it will show you the stars on the other side of the world or just below the horizon.... I Love it.
