Hero Wifi?

So today I was helping my friend figure out his hero, and in his settings it said something like Wifi to PC? I can't remember exactly what it said, but it was along the lines of that. I know it ment the hero could give it's internet connection to a laptop or pc through USB? Why does my eris not have this?

Looks like there are some apps that allow for this, and I believe if your Eris is rooted you can.
