Hero won't save any picutes, please help!

I did the update on my Hero and everything seems to be fine except when I take pictures. It doesn't save the pictures to where you can view them. It saves them as some weird image. I'm about to go to a big NFL game and I'd love to fix it before. Can anyone please tell me what to try? I'd greatly appreciate it!

Have you tried saving anything else, such as a music file? Just to make sure your memory card hasn't fried. I had a memory card in my camera die unexpectedly, so I'd check that first.
