Thanks all:
So now I am rooted. Running Apex 1.4.1, and all is good.
Had some hickups along the way. Thought I bricked it at one point. Had the boot loop where it showed the eye, then droid, then eye, on and on and on.
Had to search for a while to find the fix. (wipe and clear all)
Anyway. Will be lurking here for some time now.
Great forum!:)
