Just popping in for an introduction. Doug is my name, and yeah... I'm a geek. I've got some tech mud underneath my nails and am not afraid to get dirty. I like long walks on the beach and marg... oh wait, wrong forum. 
I've owned all sorts of phones and tech gear, (I'm more of an audio tech junkie like DAP's n' stuff) and am not loyal to any specific brand or company. I use what works and is logical for my needs. This will change from moment to moment, as things should since it's always good to try something new.
Used to be a Windows guy, as I grew up on Win machines but started trying out Linux some years back (I'm 38) and then moved on to OS X (with apprehension) and have not, nor will I ever look back. Love my MacBook Pro's. Hate iTunes (go Songbird!) and don't really have much of a care for iPhones. I was using an iPhone 3G for the past year while in Europe, Jailbroken of course, and the wifi crapped out on me. I don't care to use it anymore and am now looking for a new carrier and phone while using a cruddy Boost Mobile phone (some Sanyo job).
Hence my presence here. But I'll leave that for another thread. Glad to be here with you all.
