I'm new here and so glad that I stumbled on to this website. I have the Hero and I totally love my phone. Well, almost.

It's amazing the capabilities that the Hero has and the things it can do. The only complaint that I have is it is dropping my calls. This is the perfect device ... ummm, except for phone calls! lol This is my first smart phone SO this could be MY fault and not the phone's fault.

I have read some posts re: task killers and I am not running anything like that. Any suggestions as to why I can not use my phone .... as a phone ... without complications?

Sometimes, it works perfectly - other times I am hanging up on people. (Sometimes this is also a blessing) lol

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You should try searching for...or posting this question in your phone's specific forums (this is just the introduction section). I would say that if you are having problems with dropping calls...you need to involve you phone's carrier as you could possibly have a defective handset that would enable you to get a new (or refurbished) phone at no cost. That might be your problem...but you should check with other Hero owners to see if people have had similar problems.
