Hey there!

It had a swipe lock, I unlocked it for her to play games, put her to bed, and now it has a password and I haven't the foggiest idea on what random letters/numbers she might have put in. Nor how to reset it.

Uh-oh. Hmm... Does it ask for a Gmail by any chance? If it does after too many incorrect attempts you can get in that way.

Unfortunately no, just keeps locking me out for 30 secs then back to entering wrong passwords. I have no idea what to do :'(

Is there something at the bottom of the screen that says forgot password?
If it doesn't and you cannot find a forgot password option you may have to factory reset your device to get in. Also, you can try this Lost Phone/Locked Out FAQ and if that doesn't work your only option is to do a factory reset. :(
I'm going to log off send me a message and we can work this out tomorrow. I hope it doesn't have to come down to a factory reset I also asked for some help to assist you. :)

If you happened to have USB debugging enabled, I believe there's a way to remove the lock restrictions, but most folks don't have USB debugging enabled (if you don't know what that is then you probably don't have it set).

But thought I'd ask just in case...

:crossing-fingers:
