hi all

Lurker
New to the forum so just posting to say hi! Is there any pertinent information I should list in my profile other than maybe my phone info that would help you help me? I'm a member of a few other forums, mainly car forums, some gaming forums, and a mod on a few of those, so I'm not exactly a noob, just new here!

I currently have a 4g evo, a friend just bought one rooted(ebay) that has hotspot capabilities, so I'm looking into doing the same with mine to run a laptop off my phone connection. Nothing major, just basic browsing of my forums. Hopefully you guys have the tools and knowledge to help me do this!

I'm off to browse your threads, but if anyone wants to point me in the right direction it would be appreciated, thanks!

Welcome to AF, zoom zoom! As far as pointing you in the right direction, make sure you check out your device forum, here: HTC EVO 4G - Android Forums

So, by your username, and your membership in car forums, I am going to guess you own a Mazda? I have a Mazdaspeed 3 myself, and love it! :)

Thanks for joining up, and see you around! :)

Welcome to AF zoom zoom.:)

Check out the all things root forum for your phone and you should get help there rooting your device and getting tether up and running. As far as what you put in your info, as much or as little as you want. Some folks put a ton, others very little. Don't stress about that too much.

Hi zoom zoom...

What's up? Welcome to one of the better Android Forums around. Here's hoping you'll find this place helpful.

Have fun - If you need any assistance, feel free to give us a shout! :)

Thanks for the welcome! I was looking through the EVO 4g subforum last night, trying to read up on it as much as I can before I jump into it, but it looks very promising so far! I've owned a few Mazda's, right now I'm building a Ford subcompact with a Mazda motor, and hoping it turns out something like this one. (160hp car vs corvette) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFOtP0wnXVY Those speed3's are nice, I haven't been in one yet, but I've heard alot of good things about them.
