Hi and help (please)

Hi guys,

I've come over from the dark side (Apple) and have just come home with my first android phone (Galaxy note 2)


Everything's been straight forward so far except the firmware.


I am being promoted to update the firmware which when I attempt to do downloads then starts to install before stopping somewhere around 30percent before telling me that the firmware update has been unsuccessfull and that I should update via Kias (think that's what it says) or contact a Samsung dealer.


How do I get around this?

Hey there and welcome to android forums!

Most definitely a very nice new device to come to from Apple!

Are you using you carrier connection or a Wi-Fi connection to download the update from?

Sometimes there isn't a way around it and you may need to use kies to update.

Hi thanks for replying to my post. I am at home on my wifi. I am trying to install kids but it seems to be taking forever!!... Very annoying !!
