Hi guys, completely new to all of this so you'll have to forgive my stupidity - dont have a clue what "rooting" is and it seems thats what everyone suggests is the answer to most of the problems lol. Got HTC Desire & due upgrade in March so any suggestions greatly appreciated x

Hello and welcome to Android Forums. Rooting is obtaining access to your phone's protected files and apps. It's not for everyone.. but many enjoy the added freedom of being the master of their craft.
