Hidden files during memory transfer?

My current phone (Galaxy S2 Epic) is broken and I'm going to get a new one from my device insurance. However, I have several hidden files which I'd rather not be stumbled upon (I know... judge me) and I'm afraid that these file may become visible upon memory transfer from my broken phone to the new one.
What happens to hidden files upon memory transfer? Do they just stay hidden the way they are?

Thanks : )

1) Chances are that all they'll transfer are contacts, gallery, ringtones, etc.

2) Most places do file transfers by computer these days - the 2 phones are hooked up through a file transfer box and anything that can get transferred gets transferred. No one looks at the file names.

3) Even if they looked at the files themselves, unless they're proof of criminal activity - trust me, they've seen worse.

There's a good chance that the techs that look at your device to see if it can be salvaged for a refurb (i.e., repair and make available to others as a replacement device) will factory reset and re-flash the O/S without even examining the contents of your phone's memory.
