Help Hidden Menus

Ok I was told in the IRC chat that the hidden menus are diffrent on every phone and that I should ask here....

So, I got my MSL from another post on here using aLogcat (How to get your MSL) now I need to know:

What are the hidden menus on this phone?
What options should I not touch?
What options should I change?

##3282# i used the 3g thing on that other post as well and it works.. for me i seen a DEFINITE Speed increase
 
Ugh....... Ok went to ##Debug# -> Enter MSL -> others -> korea mode set -> Sprint mode (I was just curios what it would do)

And now I get Error: 67, The Activate Phone thing came back(like when it was new) but doesnt do anything because there is no connection, and my username is set to: sktelecom

I can call people without any issues just no internet

Tried
factory data reset - fail
update profile: - fail (no connection)


Help ME Please,

Is it my understanding that you have yet rooted your phone?
If so, I have not seen any updated to the request for a Precedent Unrooted ROM.

Thus: The only method I am aware of would be using Davew41 root
Factory Straight Talk Precedent Root

Then doing a Factory Reset to avoid the "Google Talk" authentication error.

Since the ROM will allow superuser/root and wipe all data not saved, you will have to dwl all your apps once you set up your Google Account.

Basically you'll be back to the 'Drawing Board'.

You would think within Debug, there would exist a reversal of the Korean Mode, yet my understanding of what lay beyond a GUI interface to change the prop file that has fubar'ed your functionality is beyond me.

ALSO:
Another thing to check in ##3282#>EDIT>Enter MSL>Other>Multimedia
to view/edit the (or my) default settings. Perhaps if not as seen
here, they could be preventing you from accessing internet.

Also, IF your phone is not rooted: Have you called Customer Service.

REASON: within the first hour of my ownership, I locked myself out of my phone with the keypad drawing app and was introduced to the procedure to boot the phone into 'Factory Restore Mode'. They may have yet other methods to rectify your situation since your still taking calls.

all that stuff is correct..... What is your Username set to:
settings -> about phone -> User Name
(-->@sprintpcs.com <-- that part of it, not the actual username)

I think mine was Blah@sprintpcs.com but now its like "sktelcom" or something like that. Iam just curious what the last part is... then maybe I can just enter it myself.

Tech Support was useless.... because Iam in an area that they dont cover they just keep telling me that its because there are no towers... Even when you point out that it does this in areas where you have full bars.

India guy: "Sir it is not working because the computer says we do not cover your area"
me: "But it worked yesterday, and I have full service where I work and it still does this there"
India guy: "Sir the computer says you dont have service there. You need to return the phone to walmart."(They must have told me that 10x!!!)
Me: "Click!"

This was the 2nd set of advanced tech support I was transfered to.... So 3 tech people total ugh!

mine is like this 0000000000@mvno87.sprintpcs.com

Well that was the info I wanted, but It didnt seem to help =(

Case closed via IRC chat with a handy ##786# (RTN) reset, followed by automated Samsung hands-free re-activation.

As Homer would say - Swish! :)
 
WooHoo!!!!

Credit for this fix goes to EarlyMon in #AndroidForums

This is a true factory reset and everything will be erased:
Step 1: ##786#
Step 2: Press Reset
Step 3: Enter MSL
Step 4: Wait for restart
Step 5: Go threw "Hands free activation"
Steps 6, 7, & 8: Thank EarlyMon for fixing your 3G

[Disclaimer: You do run some risk from this reset, but worked with no problem for me]

just found the tty menu. ##889#

just tried MSL in the hashes and got a terminal menu. ##xxxxxx# whatever your msl is goes in the x's
